Denny’s Story

Denny describes his former life as one marked by alcoholism, drug abuse, violence and gang involvement. He says his choices brought destruction into his life and deeply affected the people who loved him.

For a long time, he believed there were only two possible outcomes for his life: spending his life behind bars or dying.

After five years in that cycle, Denny says everything began to change in one night when he encountered God.

That encounter began a new journey. Denny says he came to understand grace and forgiveness and began walking with the Lord. Over time, people who had known his former life began to see the difference.

He describes people he once harmed as people from whom he has now sought forgiveness, and people from his former life as people who now come to him asking for prayer.

Denny is especially grateful for the change in his relationship with his children. Today, he sees his life as evidence that a person’s story can change.

“All glory belongs to God.”

He now shares his experiences with the hope that his story will encourage others, including families who are praying for loved ones caught in destructive lifestyles.

Chase’s Story

Chase Sinclair is a Métis man born and raised in Prince Albert, Saskatchewan. For twenty years, his life was shaped by the streets, gangs, violence, addiction and survival by any means necessary.

Chase walked through experiences that left him wondering whether he would ever make it out. Eventually, his journey began to move from survival toward healing.

Chase describes finding God not through comfort, but in some of the most painful and difficult moments of his life. When he felt he had no one else to call on, his faith became a source of strength.

His experience did not erase what he had lived through. Instead, it became part of the purpose he carries today.

Now working as a social worker and advocate, Chase uses his lived experience to connect with people who are still caught in difficult circumstances. He seeks to bring truth, compassion and faith into places where people can easily feel forgotten.

His message is that healing is possible, that God can meet people in the middle of chaos and that survival can become purpose.
